Not many people know that the queen’s grocer also has a very rakish men’s department on the third floor. From a haircut at the exceptional barber’s to a traditional shoeshine, it’s all there. The room is filled with men’s accessories by the best British brands, and you can even find a selection of my Savile Row-inspired wash bags and eye masks here. The staff are the real appeal for me. They wear a very traditional uniform and know the store so well they can come up with anything you ask for. Some of them have been working in the store for decades.

If you're looking for high-end food souvenirs to bring home to friends and family, look no further. Fortnum & Mason is pricy but delicious, and the packaging makes it a perfect gift. Come here for tea and cookies in gorgeous tins, or just to wander around and marvel at the grandeur. Their Scotch eggs are to die for.
